After last year's success chartering a boat for members to sail locally, we are again chartering Perdita, a Bavaria 37 from Ipswich whilst Freyja is away in Spain. We are taking bookings for two slots. Firstly from 1800 on the 10th to 1800 on the 12th August, and secondly from 1800 on the 12th to 1500 on the 15th August. Bookings will be through John at the Crew Bureau.

We have a number of sea time berths both in Spain and on the return through France to Shotley. Firstly there is Bilbao to Bilbao with Brian Barnes from 25th July to 1st August. Secondly from Lorient to St. Helier, Jersey with Peter Burry from 26th August to 4th September. This will involve some long passages and will be ideal for would-be Yachtmasters looking for 60 mile passages and passage planning experience.Thirdly from St. Helier to Gosport again with Peter Burry from 4th to 12th September. Based mainly on the Channel Islands, this will also involve a 60 mile passage across the channel and shipping lanes. Lastly there is Gosport to Shotley with Richard Maxwell from 20th to 27th September. This will hopefully involve a run up the French coast to Boulogne or Calais, weather permitting, and then across the channel and Thames estuary to Shotley.
