Freyja’s crews in Scottish waters have enjoyed excellent sailing and built up an impressive list of places visited. To see what they have been up to so far, visit www.longtrip.ecyd.org.uk
It is still possible to get aboard the yacht for sailing opportunities next month. Details are as follows: 1. Seatime cruise, from Monday 12 July to Tuesday 20 July, starting and finishing at Troon. The berth cost is £368 per person. Food and marina fees will also be shared among crew and skipper. The eight days should provide an excellent opportunity to explore the popular Clyde sailing area which includes the Isle of Arran, and the Mull of Kintyre and the famous island of Ailsa Craig.
2. Private charter from Tuesday 20 July to Thursday 29 July. This charter will begin from Troon in the Clyde area and will end nine days later at Bangor on Belfast Lough. It therefore offers opportunities for passage making in the Clyde area and the interesting waters between Scotland and Northern Ireland, together with visits ashore. Itinerary will of course depend on weather conditions and crew.
To learn more about these opportunities please make contact as follows to the ECYD yacht secretary, Hilary Tyrrell: e-mail to yacht_sec@ecyd.org.uk or phone landline 01727 869775 or mobile 07849 041285. You can also email John Miller at cruising@ecyd.org.uk but a telephone call to Hilary is probably the quickest way to get in touch.
