Leg 11 Oxelosund to Kalmar
7 -17 August 2004

Skipper – Alan Dransfield
We flew to Stockholm where the crew met for a day or two and then caught a train and bus to Oxelosund, and then another train to reach Pegasus
for leg 11 of the long trip.

The next day we set off on Pegasus to call at all the places shown, in sequence, on the attached photographs. The weather was hot, sunny and calm for the trip except for the last two days.
On the penultimate day at sea we had winds up to a F6 and on the last day we had winds up to F8.

Most of our trip involved navigating narrow channels between the thousands of beautiful islands on the east coast of Sweden. Highly recommended although great care needed.

To remember – Fyrudden – below - where we moored right in front of the wonderful ice cream store, and Flatvarp for its peace, quiet and total isolation.
