The East Coast Yacht Division (ECYD) is part of the Civil Service Sailing Association (CSSA). You can join the CSSA by holding Membership Plus in the Civil Service Sports Council (CSSC) which is open to all Civil Servants and many affiliated bodies. The ECYD yacht is based at Shotley on the River Stour near the towns of Harwich and Felixstowe. Approved skippers can charter Freyja to sail in local waters or short trips to the Netherlands Belgium or France. Every year the East Coast Yacht goes on a long trip to places as far afield as Brittany, the Baltic, Ireland, Scotland and Scandinavia.
